It all started in the 1970s, where a typical Malaysian family living in Penang cooked Nyonya dishes for their daily meals. Throughout the years, these recipes were perfected and have now become a family heritage. It was only in 1998, when a family member came to Kuala Lumpur, that a humble coffee shop stall was opened to sell these dishes.
Cultivated since 1960 in Alor Setar, Kedah, Ah Cheng Laksa holds a unique family recipe loved locals till today, it’s 4 main dishes was brought into Klang Valley as retail outlets by one of its family members for all.
